BlockFi is looking for an HR Business Partner to join our growing team! 

About the Role

We’re looking for a HR Business Partner to join our People Team and will support the day-to-day needs of our organization. As an HRBP you will impact the growth of our business utilizing your expertise within talent management strategy, performance management, career development, employee relations, and workforce planning.

Your Mission:

  • Act as trusted advisor for the team on internal policies, career guidance, performance management, and complex employee relations challenges
  • Manage the performance and compensation review process to ensure consistent and fair decisions are made with regard to promotion, bonus and salary increases 
  • Develop proactive strategies to help employees perform to their highest potential and support managers in their efforts to coach and counsel their teams
  • Work in close partnership with our talent team to develop and implement internal diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Continually optimize and educate the team about performance management processes, and provide advisory support to managers to help them to effectively deliver feedback
  • Handle employee relations escalations in partnership with legal
  • Develop proactive strategies to help employees perform to their highest potential and support managers in their efforts to coach and counsel their teams
  • Build relationships with employees at all levels; drive efforts to ensure that new hires are successfully integrated into the team

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience, start-up and later-stage experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coach, influence, and partner with various levels of employees, particularly at the leadership level
  • Strong competency within the HR function: succession planning, org design, coaching, recognition programs, talent management, communications, and change management
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail
  • Creative, proactive thinker who loves to learn, actively seeks solutions, and identifies process improvements
  • Experience managing others, taking pride in supporting teammates while developing their careers
  • Experience with ER issues and investigations
  • Fluent in and passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and best practices
